Storm Watchers

As I drove home along highway 88, the sky to the west was an eerie pink colour. The sky was changing with every minute and as I drove into Bond Head, the wind was picking up. I quickly picked up the mail and drove back to our house. As I drove into our driveway, birds were fluttering eratically and the Canadian flag atop our flag pole, flapped against a murky grey sky. The garage door was open. I ran in to close it, then any open windows.
I walked into the back room of the empty house. I thought I'd seen Paul's car in the driveway, but he was nowhere to be seen. I heard voices and looked down below and there they were--Paul, Jay and Brenda, lined up in lawn chairs, watching the show, while Tiffany-Amber and Victoria danced around like sprites in the wind.
Soon big, heavy drops of rain began to fall and they decided to take the storm seriously and head indoors. Moments later, a sudden calm fell. The storm had passed us by...
